Heard the heartbeat at home!

I know I know I know it's still so early, but now, armed with fresh batteries and KY Jelly (lol, dirty!) I can't just resist breaking out the doppler! So I tried last night, and right away, I heard that wonderful wonderful "galloping" sound! Hi, baby! 9 weeks, 3 days!

1st Ultrasound

And for daddy's birthday today, we got to see our baby for the first time! Nice heartbeat at 120, and all where it should be! Of course, this experience also goes to our list of "eventful" ultrasounds: me: "I see the flutter!" Stephen "what's flutter?" tech: "flutter is heartbeat." And then NOTHING else for a forever 15 minutes or so! I am freaking OUT! Then she says: "maybe they'll want a repeat in a week." Well, if I was not already on a table, I would have fallen down for sure. Then she packs to leave. I demand: "so no heartbeat?" she says: "oh yeah! i forgot to mention it. 120 beats for minute." And then my dear husband had to apologize for me...or he tried anyway. All good though.

And there he (seriously, could it be anything else?! And the Chinese lunar calendar has not been wrong yet...and so says that highly reliable Native American hairline prediction...) is!!!

Repeat Beta

Well, I peed on a stick in the morning to start things off, and it was so awesome to see the "yes" line show up blazing way before the control line ever showed up!! And just to think that only two weeks ago my eyeballs nearly fell out from studying the sticks under all kinds of lights...anyway, then I went for a blood test (got my favorite lady to take the blood...yet another bruise?!?!) but the result made it all ok: 22050! On track!

Clear-cut Positive!!!

So after an agony of spotting and three boxes of test (with faint faint lines) and one "No-" digital, this is what I got on Thursday, March 26:

Which prompted a call to the doctor's office for a blood test. Which I had on Friday and which came back at hcg=29 (great progesterone, but no number). So yeah, it's a bit low, but considering the negative earlier and the faint lines...it makes sense. So Monday, back to the lab for a repeat. Meanwhile...definitely pregnant!
